Day 12: Whatever tickles your fancy

Sounds.

I like sounds.

***************

Walking in snow.

Tires on rocks.

Sizzling of cooking.

My mom’s thudding footsteps.

The creak at the top of my stairs.

The echoing of voices in the rotunda.

The clicks of the keyboard.

The sound of silence.

Pianos.

Instruments in general.

Laughing.

Cars speeding by you.

The sound of snuggling.

Scissors cutting paper.

Breathing.

High heels.

Turning pages of a book.

Thunderstorms.

…just to name a few.

Day 08: A photo that makes you angry/sad

For whatever reason, both of these things have been broken. Changes, other people, drama, outside forces, whatever. It doesn’t matter.

They’re gone and done. I’ve shed tears for both.

I just want my families back.

Day 07: A photo that makes you happy

image

So this picture makes me INCREDIBLY HAPPY. I mean, LOOK AT THIS BABY. It’s adorable AND it has down syndrome. I love it :)

In all seriousness though. There are many pictures that make me happy. But there are only a few that you can look at and remember that exact moment. It was so fantastic. Just fantastic.

Day 05: Your Favorite Quote

There are many really. None to artsy and life-changing. But nonetheless important to me.

“Yesterday’s history, tomorrow’s a mystery, today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the present.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

“I think you misplaced your identity.” -Relient K

“You are the reason smiles exist at all.” - Lights Out Dancing

“I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there.” - The Perks of Being a Wallfloer

“I love you more.” -My mom’s response

Day 04: Your Favorite Book (because I'm not gonna do it tomorrow or the next day...)

My favorite book is The Great Gatsby and The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

*Funny Story*

So, in seventh grade, I was obsessed with Jared Padalecki, so much that I looked up all of his ‘favorites’ and I saw that his favorite book was the Great Gatsby. So, I went to the library and checked it out to read it. Yeah, never got passed the first sentence. But then we had to read it these year and I loved it.

It seems that every one of my favorite books have been ones we’ve read in school. It used to be The Westing Game (which is definately number two, if not tie) and I really liked Anthem, no matter how crazy of a bitch Ayn Rand was. So yeah. I love Gatsby.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower: Let me clarify; no, I did not read this because Jessie did. I in fact read it before her and everyone started to know about it. (Sorry Jessie. I just needed to clarify.) This book is beautiful. I mean you know almost every detail in this kid’s life and yet you know nothing because he’s changed all the names and almost everything in it. And his naitivity is beautiful. How he says he feels infinite: his story (parts of it) remind me of my own freshman year and how I loved being accepted by everyone and feeling awesome because of it. It’s all so beautiful and realistic.

OH! The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime! Ok, I’m going to stop before I go change my favorite book to a tie like the rest of my stuff…

Day 03: Your Favorite TV Program

Hmmm….

Again, I THINK it’s a tie between Friends, Gilmore Girls, and Bones. I mean, I loveGossip Girl, but it doesn’t measure up to the others. It’s more there for dramatic effect.

Friends: If you have never seen this show, seriously, go kill yourself. I mean, I just recently (meaning January, maybe?) started seriously watching it per season and I am in love. It is so funny. Ah, I love it alot. It’s  definately creeping up to becoming my only favorite.

Gilmore Girls: Most people think this show is stupid and “how can you listen to them ‘brain talk’ like that?” but the show has so much meaning. This show is the only that I think is keeping my mom’s and I’s relationship from going downhill. It’s the way my mom and I bond. Plus, it is hilarious, especially when you know all of the gagillion pop culture references they say. They also taught me how to talk fast ;)

Bones: Everyone has a favorite crime show. Don’t deny it. This is mine, next to CSI but that’s more of an addiction than a favorite. I love the relationships on the show. Plus the fact that David Boreanz is a hot peice of ass really helps…. (DO NOT BRING UP HIS PERSONAL MISTAKES I DON’T CARE. I know him as Booth and Angel. That is all. He has no other life to me.)

:)

Day 02: Your Favorite Movie

image

image

Let’s see….

I’d have to say it’s a 3-way tie between The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, and The Breakfast Club.

Sound of Music: I love this movie because I don’t know. Just… I don’t know! I’m at a loss of words about how this movie makes me feel. Oh! But Julie Andrews is like my hero so that definately has something to do with it. And I don’t care if people say it sucks or it’s cheesy or whatever. I love it. A lot.

Mary Poppins: Besides the obvious that Julie Andrews is in it, this move makes me SO HAPPY. Plus Dick Van Dyke is in it too! Especially Jolly Holiday and the penguins. And View la Hoo!! (the fox part before the horse race) It was one of the first movies (next to Birdie) to use that cartoon mixed with real life kind of stuff and it’s just amazing. And the dancing! AH! It’s AMAZING! I ‘m slightly obsessed with Mary Poppins. Like, I have both the Broadway and movie soundtracks, both the DVD and VHS, and a signed program from when they did it on Broadway. I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Oh, and the show is amazing on it’s own too. It’s not like the movie but it can completely stand on its own. AH! It was beautiful :)

*People may be thinking right now that yes, theatre kid likes musicals, but actually, I have loved both of these movies since I was like 7, before I even liked performing: Mary Poppins, even younger.

The Breakfast Club: GREAT MOVIE. and a good message. ‘Nuff said. Go watch it.

Because it's almost summer and I have nothing better to do...

Day 01 - Your Favorite Song

Let’s Dance to Joy Division by The Wombats.

I think anyone who knows me knows this little fact about me. I’m not exactly sure why I love it so much. It might be because in part of the song it basically says the world is going to hell but we need to just enjoy it and be happy.

Or maybe because I always wanna jump and dance like I’m having a seizure.

I don’t know.

:)
